Finally...

Well I finally found a free second to post what I've been up to =) These past several days have been pretty busy. Let's see, this weekend I was on call for work, but thankfully I didn't have to go anywhere, just handle a few phone calls.

Sunday evening Bethany & I went to a concert with my older brother Aaron and his friend Jonathan (great guy). It was the BarlowGirl & Reilly An Acoustic Winter's Night Tour. It was awesome! For those who've never heard of Reilly, they're a really awesome band! They have great lyrics, great sound, and great people! You should check them out! I've only seen them once back a few years ago at a New Attitude (now called NEXT) conference. But it was great, they're still an up and coming band so they would stay for a while afterwords and chat by the merch table. I had a great time talking the them, especially Dan & Noele Huie (they're husband & wife, and they're expecting). It was neat getting to hear their story of how they met, and how choosing baby names is difficult because of their different ethnicity. They're a really great couple. I'm hoping my wife and I will be able to afford to go to the NEXT conference next year (which Reilly will be performing at btw).

Monday was my Grandmaw's birthday!!! So we spent the evening at my parent's house celebrating and eating dinner. I also spent a little of the afternoon helping my PawPaw troubleshoot why his internet was not working. Turns out it was on Windstream's side.

Tuesday, oh bother, work was a pain... I had to drive to a store in SC that was 4 hours away because one of the employee's brought in a heater and plugged it into a dedicated outlet for the POS equipment and blew the power supplies for several terminals, one complete terminal, and the kitchen video system. And since it's so far away they were basically without terminals all day. But the good thing was I was able to get one of my brother's to ride with me and help me out. So that was nice, helped keep me awake on the ride home. Which I didn't get home 'til 2am yesterday... so I'm still recuperating a bit. My wife wasn't able to go because she had choir rehearsal and then after rehearsal they went and sang for blind people and their families at a church nearby.

Yesterday...well not much happened yesterday. Work was good, not many calls. Got to sleep in because I got back late the night before. I have the best boss btw! I pretty much just took it easy and played a some Fiesta. Oh and Bethany's choir got to sing at the Great Wolf Lodge near Concord Mills. After she got back I made dinner and then we watched Fast and Furious: Tokyo Drift, which was pretty cool.

As far as I can remember that's all that happened.... hopefully today will be like yesterday as far as work goes =P

How to get married

"A.M.A.Z.I.N.G!!!!"

How I did it: Well, it's not really how "I" did it, but more about how God did it. He brought me and my now Wife together several years ago in High School. After a few years of not seeing or speaking with each other he brought us back together! It was definitely a challenge, especially to remain pure, and to be patient.

The planning of the wedding was hard and long, but her mother had been in several weddings so she knew a lot about what needed to be done. The day was nothing but nerves mostly, and last minute preparations ;) Overall it went very smooth and was perfect! If I could I would do it all over again ^_^

Lessons & tips: + Patience. Patience. Patience. It's definitely hard to wait, whether it be waiting for your special someone, or waiting for the wedding day, or for the ceremony. It all takes a LOT of patience =)

+ Find someone you know that knows a lot about weddings, maybe they could be your wedding planner

+ Oh, and an expensive photographer is not always the best

It took me 19 years.

It made me Speechless ^_^

43 Things

Hello everyone! If yall are confused about my last post "How to Graduate College" its because I stumbled upon a site I joined a few years back called 43Things. I decided to link it to my blog because I want to utilize all these cool things on the net.

About 43Things.com it's a website that allows you to create a dream/to-do life list. Because as most of you know, sometimes you need a check off list to get things done (it's kind of a first step to getting things done), or so you feel like you're accomplishing something as you see the check-marks appear. After you've made a list you can see how many others are working towards a similar goal and encourage each other, or get advice and tips from those who have already accomplished it. It's a pretty neat site, so I thought I would link it with my blog so maybe it can inspire my readers/fellow bloggers. It probably won't, but at least it will give you insight into some of my past goals =P

Well as I said before I stumbled upon it and now I'm starting to check some stuff off that i've accomplished. So you might see a few more "How to" posts =P

You can check out 43Things here: http://www.43things.com/

How to graduate college

"It was difficult, and frustrating but I'm glad I did it!"

How I did it: It took a LOT of hard work and determination.  I thought about quitting several times.  But i'm glad I didn't.  I received my Associate's degree in Information Technology and it landed me a job doing tech support for restaurants!  (comes with free food benefits!)

Lessons & tips: + Choose a major in something you already know you love doing it will help when the going gets tough.

+ Take your gen. ed. classes along with some of your major specific classes. It will make them more bearable

It took me 2 years.

It made me Happy!
